Congress Care expands management team

23-03-2022

Following the appointment of Pepijn Klerkx as CEO and Roderick Mulder as CFO in January 2021, Congress Care is also strengthening its daily management. We are pleased to announce that, as of April 1, 2022, Debbie Schuurmans will join their Management Team as Project Director.

Last year, the founders, Rob Zikkenheimer and Jacqueline van der Meer, handed over part of their responsibilities to the new co-owners. They remain actively involved in the company but are gradually scaling back. In February of this year, we celebrated the 25th anniversary of Congress Care. Now that the founders have reached this milestone, they can confidently pass on the daily leadership.

Daily Management
As of April 2022, the daily management will be in the hands of Pepijn Klerkx, Roderick Mulder, and Debbie Schuurmans. With this new MT composition, Congress Care will continue to realize its growth optimally.

A New Way of Meeting
The addition of Debbie to the MT allows us to serve our new and existing clients even better. Current trends show that conferences no longer simply consist of live meetings at one location but can also be hybrid or entirely online. This requires the expertise of a Professional Congress Organizer (PCO). Increasingly, we work with our clients to design various formats, combining both physical and digital elements of a congress.

Who is Debbie Schuurmans?
Debbie Schuurmans studied Communication Management. After a career as a construction coordinator and management assistant in healthcare, she joined Congress Care in 2014, first as a project assistant and later as a project manager.
